- DMX was arrested for violating the terms of his probation, admitting he’d used cocaine over the last nine months, Reuters reports. The rapper is currently in a Phoenix jail.
- Lady Gaga is coming to Rock Band: the pop star’s first track pack includes “Bad Romance,” “Just Dance,” “Monster” and “Poker Face” — and as a special bonus, the version of “Poker Face” Eric Cartman made famous on South Park will also be up for sale in the game’s Music Store next week.
- Canadian rockers Stars will return with their fifth album, The Five Ghosts, on June 22nd. The band will perform the new disc in its entirety during a U.S. tour this summer.
- The soundtrack to the Doors documentary When You’re Strange, due April 6th, will include Jim Morrison’s poetry as read by Johnny Depp, who narrates the film. Rhino will also reissue the band’s Absolutely Live and Live in New York as 180-gram double-album sets on March 16th.

- Tom Morello has confirmed he’s working on the score to Iron Man 2 in a tweet posted over the weekend: “Is that really me in Iron Man? Of course. Iron Man kicks my ass. I’m working on score for Iron Man 2. Rockin. Movie is awesome.”
- Band of Horses have found a label and nailed down a release date for Infinite Arms: the disc, due May 18th, will arrive via Brown Records/Fat Possum Records/Columbia Records. The band co-produced the disc with Phil Ek.
- The Sopranos creator David Chase’s next project looks to be a feature-length film about an emerging Sixties band, reports Deadline New York.
- Lady Gaga may leap into the 3-D game by developing a way to integrate the technology into her live show or releasing a 3-D DVD, her rep tells MTV News.

- Arcade Fire have booked their first 2010 live date: a spot headlining Dublin’s Oxegen Festival, NME reports. Jay-Z, Muse, Broken Social Scene, Vampire Weekend and the Black Eyed Peas are also confirmed for the event, which takes place July 8-11th.
- Phish are jumping into the lucrative 3-D game with an upcoming movie that’ll have fans strapping on paper glasses. A new Website Phish3Dmovie has launched, but the band isn’t offering up any concrete details yet. Rumor has it the movie will feature footage from last year’s Festival 8.
- D’Angelo has been arrested for solicitation, the New York Post reports. The R&B singer reportedly offered an undercover policewoman $40 for oral sex in New York’s West Village at 2:30 a.m. Saturday night and was arrested.
- The Dramatics’ Ron Banks has died at age 58 of a heart attack, Reuters reports. Banks was a founding member of the soul vocal group who are best known for their 1971 hit “Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get.”

- Aerosmith are still dancing around the idea of a summer tour of the States. They’ve already announced a European trek, and today they added South American dates to their schedule. Check out the list (and another amusing clip of the band) at their official Website.
- The Flaming Lips, Alice in Chains, Earth, Wind and Fire, Limp Bizkit and Jeff Beck are set to rock the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis on April 30th to May 2nd. The full, eccentric lineup is posted on the event’s Website.
- Missing rapper J-Kwon has been found alive and well. The 24-year-old “Tipsy” MC was reported missing by his record label after they hadn’t reached him in a month. He checked in yesterday, HipHopDX reports, but declined to make a public statement.
- After announcing their first tour of the U.S. in 18 years, John Lydon’s Public Image Ltd. has confirmed their return to American TV: an April 7th appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

- My Chemical Romance have officially split with drummer Bob Bryar, writing on their official website, “This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same.”
- Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg has assembled a compilation called Proud to Be Woman which benefits women’s empowerment group Vital Voices. Mary J. Blige, Santigold, Christina Aguilera and more stars appear on the disc, which will be released in DVF stores and on DVF.com starting March 8th.
- EMI is releasing special John Lennon and Sex Pistols vinyl for record store day. The Lennon “Singles Bag” will include three 45 RPM singles with replicated original artwork for “Mother,” “Imagine” and “Watching the Wheels”; a limited-edition The Great Rock ‘N’ Roll Swindle will arrive as a 180 gram double LP.
- Gang Starr’s Guru has emerged from a coma following heart surgery, and issued a statement to AllHipHop that reads, “I am doing fine and I am recovering! I’m weak though.”
